Vehicle fire in Butler

The Butler Fire Department along with the Butler Police Department is on scene of a vehicle on fire in front of a residence located at 413 West Adams Street in Butler at this time.

Please avoid this area if all possible.

Butler Varsity Bears blank Buffalo Bison in regular season finale

The Butler Varsity Bears Basketball team traveled to Buffalo tonight to take on Ozark Highlands Conference rival bison in the final regular season game of the year.

Butler led this game at half time 25-17 and never looked back as the ran over the bison with a final score of 55-25 to move to 18-6 on the year.

The bears were led in scoring by seniors Carter Trumbore who had 25 and Dylan Davidson who pitched in 19. Sophomore Jake Chandler added 10 points to help lead the bears to victory.

Butler will now get ready for districts as they take on the Holden Eagles on February 20th at 6:00pm in Adrian.










Butler lady bears get win over lady bison tonight in regular season finale

The Lady Bears made the the almost 2 hour trip tonight to take on the Buffalo Bison in the season finale of the regular season of high school basketball.

Butler came out strong as was able to defeat the lady bison by a final score of 57-42 to get their 11th win of the season. 

The lady bears were led in scoring by freshman Kylee DuBray who had 21 points and senior Haven Humphrey who had 11 points to lead the bears.

Butler will be playing the Sherwood Lady Marksmen in the first round of district basketball play in Adrian on February 19th at 6pm.







Richardson scores 1000th career point for lady bobcats

We would like to congratulate Drexel Lady Bobcat basketball player Izzy Richardson on scoring her 1000th career point! We are all very proud of you!




Harrisonville woman escapes serious injury in Cass County crash

On Friday February 16th at around 10:27 am the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County along with Cass County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on northbound Missouri 7 Highway at 219th street in Cass County. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when north bound 2013 Chevrolet Sonic driven by 18 year old Sydney G. Badger of Harrisonville, Missouri lost control, slid off the roadway striking a road sign.

Sydney G. Badger sustained minor injuries and she was transported to Belton Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Welcome Dr. Carroll

Dr. Danny Carroll has joined Sano Orthopedics and will return to the Cass Regional campus on Thursday, February 22.

Dr. Carroll received his medical degree and completed an internship at the University of Arizona. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Dr. Carroll is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Carroll will see patients in the Cass Regional Orthopedics Clinic (Rock Haven Medical Mall, suite 120) on Thursdays. To schedule an appointment with him, please call (816) 380-7662.
