Obituary - Gloria Ann Phillips

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Ann Phillips. She was surrounded by family at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO when she received her angel wings and entered heaven.

Gloria was born March 24th, 1955 in Ft. Benning, GA to Kenneth Lloyd and Jeanne Bernadette (Riley) Berryman. Gloria worked as a Medical Credentialist for over 30 years with HCA Healthcare until retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville, MO. Gloria truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like; teaching her kids and their friends how to drive, braiding everyone's hair before volleyball and basketball games, taking her grandsons to get ice cream, taking many kids including family and friends to the zoo. She enjoyed talking for hours to family and friends. She was there for all the kids events the best she could, rather that be in person or via live feeds and being their biggest cheerleader. She loved making friends anywhere she went (literally anywhere). She would always make sure to include everyone, she loved organizing gatherings with family and friends, her face would light up when taking kids for rides on her scooter, she loved every holiday and gathering to the fullest (especially her birthday!). She always had a smile on her face and a giggle to go with it and she always raved about her family and how proud she was of her kids, grandsons, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, and of course her parents and her sisters, brothers, and in-laws.

Gloria will join in heaven her parents, Lloyd and Bernadette Berryman, and her brother Ken Berryman.

Gloria still has many here on earth loving her and keeping her memory alive, including 3 children; Jennifer Phillips of Harrisonville MO, Randy Phillips Jr. of Independence MO, Deanna Meinhardt of Harrisonville MO; 2 grandsons, Mattic and Coby Meinhardt; as well as her sister Karen Caldwell (Larry) of Aurora MO, sister-in-law (Ken) Carol Berryman of Peculiar MO, brother Jim Berryman (Linda) of Sapulpa, OK, sister Susan Boehm of Grandview, MO; 14 nieces and nephews and their spouses and 40 great nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to welcome all family and friends to Dickey Funeral Home in Harrisonville, MO on Friday, March 15th, 2024 for a visitation from 6-8 pm with a rosary reading from 5:30-6pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 16th, 2024 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrisonville, MO.

The family suggests that Memorial Contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Memorial Fund, Harrisonville, Missouri. Contributions may be mailed to Dickey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 432, Harrisonville, Missouri 64701.
