Update from Michael G's Greenhouses

We have been getting messages about when we are going to open this season, or even if we were. As some may know, I had a mild heart attack last July. I am 72 now, so when you add those two things together I nearly retired last summer.

This will be the fortieth year we have been open, and we have been preparing since early winter for spring. Two of my permanent employees had knee surgeries, one has a cast on her foot, so this will be a different kind of year.

We have not done nearly as many plants in flats and packs as usual, but have all the greenhouses full of baskets, geraniums, and lots of 4 1/2" pots.

We are going to open on Saturday March 23 at 8 am. I would like to be open that day, then be closed the following two Sundays, one is Palm Sunday and the other is Easter. After that, I will be open daily until sometime in June. So we will be open the 23, closed the 24th, open the 25th to the 30th, closed Easter 31st, then open daily after that.

This is mostly due to needing a bit of rest for myself. Things have grow excessively fast, so we will have some specials on Saturday when we open to make more room. We have tons of succulents at wholesale prices as usual. Come see us!
