We're good on rain

There's an old saying that "if it rains on Easter, it'll rain the next 7 Sundays" and we'll certainly find out if that is true. In the meantime, steady rain continues to fall and is predicted to do so at least through tonight with increasing chances again midweek.

Early afternoon thunderstorms possible

⚠ SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE: Here's what I expect today:
🔴 MORNING: Good chance a few thunderstorms roll through mid/late morning; could be noisy but not expecting them to be severe. I think they will run between say Fort Scott KS and north east to Warrensburg; anywhere in that area.

🔴 EARLY AFTERNOON: Thunderstorms cluster up again 1-3PM all throughout the yellow area below. The severe threat is going to be conditional again though - on whether enough instability gets together. One clue will be if there's a big gap in the rainfall late morning/early afternoon. That would allow instability to build increasing severe chances for the afternoon hours.

🔴 LATER AFTERNOON: Storms could move into a more linear system somewhere around a Johnson-Henry-St. Clair-Cedar county line north to south. *If* this does occur *and* instability is sufficient, strong damaging winds & tornado spin-ups aren't out of the question as the system moves east/northeast.

👉👉👉TLDR: All modes of severe weather are possible (ping-pong/golf ball hail, 70mph winds, tornados) between 1-3PM today.

Butler track results from Adrian meet on Thursday

It was a warm, windy evening at Adrian on Thursday, April 17, as the Bears’ track season begins to head to the postseason. This meet was the smallest meet of the season thus far with only 13 teams participating. The meet was fast paced as athletes jumped from one event to the next with very little recovery time. They only set 3 personal records, but won 17 medals, 8 of them being gold.

Below are the results of the Bears that placed in the top 8 and earned points for the team or set a personal record. Courtesy Butler Bears XC & Track

A little drizzle? No problem
