Obituary - Robert Wallace
Robert (Bob) Junior Wallace departed this life on November 12th, 2025, in Butler MO, at 94 years old. He was born in Peculiar MO, on July 9th, 1931. His parents were Robert S. Wallace & Mary Leland (Lasley) Wallace. He spent most of his formative years working with his Stepfather at his gas station in Harrisonville MO.
Bob proudly served in the Air Force from Oct. 1949, until Oct. 1953. He had intensive training at Sheppard Air Force Base in TX, providing him with the knowledge and skills required in servicing, inspecting and maintaining every type of aircraft used by the USAF. Upon graduation he was assigned to the major Air Force commands for on-the-job experience with first line operational aircraft. His group traveled to different bases instructing recruits in detailed maintenance & repair of jet aircraft. Upon discharge, he was a member of VFW, & American Legion. Everyone who knew Bob, knew he had a lifelong love for motorcycles. He also had a Pilot's License and his own airplane, and loved to fly almost as much as he loved to ride bikes.
Bob was a Certified Family Counselor and truly defines the term "A Life Well Lived". He spent the last 50 plus years of his life in service to anyone needing help, counseling and mentoring. Over the years he worked with people from all walks of life and all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. He was always ready to listen for as long as it took and was known for going the extra mile to help.
He is survived by a nephew, Larry Wallace of Lee's Summit, many close friends, and countless people he helped through trying times.
Military honors will be performed 11 am Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Missouri.
Obituary - Ronald Fort
Ronald "Ron" Harvey Fort, 85, of Louisburg, Kansas, (formerly of West Line, MO) passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the West Line Christian Church, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Ron will be laid to rest in Glenwild Cemetery in Cleveland, MO. Memorial contributions are suggested to KC Hospice House.
Born on April 21, 1940, in Green Ridge, MO, he was the son of Oliver and Mildred (Scott) Fort. A proud graduate of Otterville, MO, High School. Ron later found his lifelong career as a pipefitter with the Pipefitters Union Local 533 in Kansas City. After dedicating 35 years to his trade, he retired in 2000, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and hard work.
Ron married the love of his life, Lois Ann Bryan, on June 19, 1960, in New Franklin, MO. He cherished the role of a father and later as a grandfather and great-grandfather, finding immense joy spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 1963, Ron and Lois made their home in West Line, MO, later they moved to the family farm in 1985, and created countless memories. They relocated to Louisburg, KS, in September of 2024, until his passing.
Ron was a devoted member of the West Line Christian Church, where he contributed his time and talents to the community he loved. Ron enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, woodworking, playing pool, working on his model train, and flying remote control planes. He especially cherished making hobby horses for the small children in his life, showcasing his creativity and devotion to family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Doris; his brother, Bill; cousin, Billy Dean Fort who he loved as a brother; step-grandson; and numerous friends and relatives whom he loved. He is survived by his wife, Lois, of the home; his children: William "Bill" Fort of West Line, MO; Angela Lane of Independence, MO; Cynthia Boatwright of Harrisonville, MO; and Dianna “DeDe” Giro of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren with another on the way; and the door was always open for those who needed love.

Virginia Diane Black, age 69 of Amoret, Missouri died Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born November 26, 1955 to Gene John Jackie and Clara Jean Mears Thornton in Kansas City, Missouri.
Diane is survived by one son, Robert Micheal “Mike” Matthews and wife Jody of Nixa, Missouri; one grandson, Hayden Matthews of Nixa, Missouri; mother, Clara “Jean” Thorton of Amoret, Missouri; sister, Renee Phillips of Amoret, Missouri; aunt, Sue Cyrus of Rich Hill, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. Diane was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Roger Thornton.

Betty Jane McKenzie, age 93 of Mt. Vernon, Texas formerly of Adrian, Missouri died Thursday, November 20, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Texas. She was born March 23, 1932 to Charles Elias and Erna Marie Adeline Reiter Kemmerer in Kansas City, Missouri.
Betty is survived by four daughters, Cecelia McKenzie-Shilling and husband Franz of Archie, Missouri, Mary McKenzie-Dunning and significant other Bruce of Natoma, Kansas, Elizabeth McKenzie-Smith and husband Philip of Mt. Vernon, Texas and Kathleen Winn and husband David of Drexel, Missouri; two sons, Robert McKenzie and wife Rita of Adrian, Missouri and Patrick McKenzie and wife Jacqueline of Kansas City, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, John Kemmerer and wife Rebeca of Mexico; and one sister, Sharon Erwin of Harrisonville, Missouri. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Jerome McKenzie; two grandsons, Christopher Martin Schilling and Ryan Dunning; one great-grandson, Mark Joseph Schilling; and two brothers, Charles Ernest Kemmerer and Harold Edward Kemmerer.
