Combative subject taken in to custody near Drexel

On the night of 06-21-2016 Bates County Deputies and the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a domestic in progress at 15003 NW CR 14781 Drexel. The Deputies arrived on scene and could hear a male subject located inside the residence yelling. The Deputies removed the male identified as Terry Monterry from the residence. Terry Monterry was very agitated and aggressive toward law enforcement. The victim advised Deputies that Terry Monterry was bipolar and was threatening to kill himself, her and her son.

While Deputies were talking with Terry Monterry outside he refused to let Deputies approach him. Terry Monterry then went back into the residence. Deputies advised Terry he was under arrest, and attempted to cuff him. Terry then tried to punch a Deputy in the face. The Deputy, in an attempt to gain control over the suspect, deployed is tazer. Terry continued to fight with Deputies for a short time until deputies were able to gain control of him and place him in handcuffs. Terry was arrested and transported to the Bates County Jail where he remains on a warrant for:

Resisting/Interfering with arrest for a felony
Assault on Law Enforcement X 3

Bond was set at $50,000.00 Cash Or Surety
