Susan Kay Jones was born February 13, 1955 in Abilene, Kansas to Norman and Beulah Arnold Lamer. She grew up in Salina, Kansas graduating from Central High School. She then attended training and received her CNA license. Susan was united in marriage and blessed with four children, three boys and a girl. She continued to work very hard and successfully raised her family as a single mother. Susan lived in Salina for many years before moving to Kearny, Nebraska to be close to family and finally, moving with her daughter to Rich Hill, Missouri.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother Beulah Lamer, a sister Connie Jo Strika, and by a son John David Jones. She is survived by her son Michael Jones, daughter Tammara Rice and husband Nicolas, of Rich Hill, MO, daughter-in-law Anne Jones, granddaughter Hannah Jones, grandsons Josiah and Bennet Jones, niece Carrie Flores and her children, Xavier, Malachi, Conner, and Jace, niece Rachel Strika, nephew Steven Lamer and his children, Troy, Gretchen, Jessie, Isabella, Levi, and Logan, nephew Robert Lamer and his son Landon, and by niece Stephanie Lamer, all of Kearny, NE. Susan loved each of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children.
