Update :Head on crash injures three on West 52 Highway

On 9/16/16 around 2:15pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Bates County along with Butler Fire Department and Bates County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two vehicle head on accident on Missouri West 52 Highway at City Lake Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2008 Ford driven by 25 year old Justin E. McGuire of Lees Summit, Missouri Struck the 2006 Ford driven by 81 year old Bernard J.Lickteig of Burlington, Kansas head on.

Justin E. McGuire sustained serious injuries in this accident and a  passenger in his vehicle 16 year old Arlis S. McGuire of Schell City, Missouri sustained minor injuries also, both were transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Mr. Lickteig sustained moderate injuries in this accident and he was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Douty"s Tow of Butler, Missouri.
