Update: Traffic stop in Butler leads to drug arrest

On 02-16-2017 around 1:00am a Butler Police Department Officer conducted a vehicle stop on a Maroon Mitsubishi.

When the officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle he smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. 

The female who was identified as 19 year old Ashley E. McMurphy of Butler, Missouri provided the officer with consent to search the vehicle. 

The Officer conducted a search of the vehicle and located a small amount of marijuana and several prescription pill.

Ashley E. McMurphy was arrested and booked into the Bates County Jail and she is currently placed on a $30,000 cash/surety bond.
