Funeral services for Lee Roy Long will be 1 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Brother Bill Perkey officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. Contributions to Double Branch Christian Church, Heartland Hospice or Hope Lodge of Kansas City.
Lee Roy is survived by his wife, Bonnie Long of Butler, Missouri; one son, Scott Long and wife Becky of Butler, Missouri; a daughter, Lea Ann Shannon and fiance Mark Cox of Butler, Missouri; two brothers, Jerry Long and wife Shirley of Belton, Missouri and Rick Long and wife Janet of Clinton, Missouri; three sisters, Linda Cooper and husband Jerry of Calhoun, Missouri, Sue Griffitt and companion Gary Pennock of Deepwater, Missouri and Robin Long and companion Rick Sluman of Florida; and five grandchildren, Jake, Bailey, Sarah, Samantha and Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, T.M. and Dollie Downing; one brother, Donald Long; and two granddaughters, Chelsea Ann and Dora Lee.
