Bates County Career Women's 2011 Forum set for Sept. 10

This year's theme is 'Fresh for Life' and features Kristen Feola and Jamie Milks. The location will be the Assembly of God Church at 801 S. Main in Butler.

Kristen Feola is the author of The Ultimate Guide to the Daniel Fast, an inspiring resource for Christians who want to pursue a more intimate relationship with God through a 21-day commitment to prayer and fasting. Kristen has worked as a personal trainer, nutritional consultant, First Race 4 Health leader and fitness instructor. She is also an active member of Moms in Touch International. Jamie Milks is the chef and owner at Everyday Organic Cookery in Kansas City Mo., whose mission is to provide convenient and delicious food options that are healthy for us and healthy for the environment. Mother of two boys, she leads an active life dedicated to the local food movement, which includes: teaching cooking classes, serving on the Board of Directors of Slow Food Kansas City, and writing a blog called The Urban Homestead Experiment, a resource for gourmet, heirloom cooking (www.urbanhomesteadx.com). Jamie is also a church council member at Living Water Christian Church in Parkville, Mo. where she and her family reside.
