c. The board approved to seek out the refinancing of the callable bonds for a potential savings of 814,0000 to the tax payers. The board will take action sooner to lock in rates if interest rises.
d. The board heard a report from assistant superintendent Heath Oates about district Map Scores. The overall trend is that Butler continues to have scores that closely mirror state scores.
e. The MSBA Leadership Award was tabled until the September meeting.
f. The Bear Backers reported on the Pancake Breakfast Saturday, August 13, along with the parking spot auction, introductions of the softball and volleyball teams and the football scrimmage.
g. Brad Stephens reported that the Educational Foundation had received a corporate donation of $1,000 dollars from Principal Financial.
