The Storm of 2013 – First of all we would like to thank all of our members for their patience, endurance and perseverance during this difficult outage. We fully understand the hardships that so many of you endured. We would also like to thank our members that expressed their concerns for the loss of our best friend and Operations Manager, Darin Wainscott. The employees of Osage Valley are working with a heavy heart.
We are so grateful for our cooperative friends that are always there to help us when the need arises. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the crews from New Mac Electric Cooperative, Barton County Electric Cooperative, Barry Electric Cooperative, White River Electric Cooperative and also to Kiowa Line Construction. Thank you Barton County Electric for also sending up office personnel to help answer the phones.
Thank you to the many people who assisted our crews in so many ways, opening roads and pulling out our trucks when they were stuck in the snow. We appreciate everything that you did to help them out while they were working.
Thank you so much to the local businesses that made special accommodations and/or donations in Butler and Clinton that helped feed the employees so that they could continue working . Thank you to Blue Ribbon Bakery, Applebee’s, Leisa’s Cafe and Smith’s Restaurant for helping to feed the Clinton crew. Thank you to Southside Café, Flaming Lantern, Koehn’s Bakery, and Country Mart for helping to feed the Butler crew. Thank you to Chad Anderson and the Bates County Sheriff’s Office for showing up with a food and moral support. Thank you also to the Bates and Henry County dispatchers that handled so many calls on our behalf. We cannot express how much we appreciate the extra efforts you all made to accommodate our needs.
