Forcast Update
Thunderstorms will gradually diminish later this morning leaving very humid conditions across the region this afternoon. While there is some uncertainty, scattered thunderstorms may redevelop later this afternoon over north central Kansas, southeastern Nebraska and southern Iowa. Much like this morning, these thunderstorms may develop into one or more clusters and track across northern Missouri overnight.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of the region in a SLIGHT risk for severe storms later this afternoon and overnight. The main hazards will be large hail, damaging winds and locally heavy rain.
This week is expected to be VERY active across the region with thunderstorm chances and severe weather risks nearly every day. As you head out this afternoon and evening for your Memorial Day plans, make sure to keep an eye on the sky and have a plan in case severe weather or thunderstorms develop.
