National Beef Packing Co., based in a Liberal, Kan., is recalling approximately 22,737 pounds of raw ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli.
An FSIS news release reports the products in question have a “Use By / Sell By Date” of June 14, 2013. FSIS says the products were produced May 25, 2013 and shipped to various retail establishments and institutions. USDA is urging consumers to check their freezers.
No illnesses have been reported.

- 10 lb. packages of “National Beef” 81/19 Coarse Ground Beef, package code “0421.”
