Cass County Sheriff along with Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a rural Harrisonville Pond yesterday around 3pm. A 17 year old male and a man in his 20's was riding a jet ski in a pond on South McClain Road when they was thrown from the jet ski. The older man was able to make it back to the jet ski but the 17 year old failed to make it back and drown. His body was recovered a short time later. Neither of them was wearing life jackets. The name of the teenager has not been released yet. Bates County Live will update this story when more information becomes available
