Bates County Sheriffs Department along with Butler Fire Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol are in on scene of a reported grass fire on Northbound I-49 at mile marker 128.3. The fire occurred when a tire on a stock trailer blew and started a fire. The fire is under control and all units are clear.
