On Tuesday, August 6th 2013 from 7-9pm, the residents of Nevada will join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “30th Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out, which is co-sponsored locally by the City of Nevada Police Department and Parks Department, involves over 15,704 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In all, over 38 million people were expected to participate in ‘America’s Night Out Against Crime’.
In Nevada, we will be hosting a swim party at the Aquatic Center located at the intersection of Atlantic Street and Ash Street. Mayor Seth Barrett will present Chief Graham Burnley with a Proclamation for 2013 National Night Out. Sheena Dickey will be the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Door prizes are to be given away throughout the evening, over 100 giveaways total!
