Seach Continues For Hellen Cook
The family of a missing Warsaw woman says authorities who have helped in the search will continue to assist in the search for Hellen Cook, who went missing July 13.
In a news release, Cook's family said Kansas City police will bring a group of search dogs to the campsite in Warsaw where Cook was last known to have been seen. The dogs will check for new scent trails.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office will organize a hand-to-hand search, but volunteers need to be provided. The family is canvassing the area to see if they can find enough volunteers to do the search by Wednesday or Thursday, the release said.
A Highway Patrol detective will also re-interview people who saw Cook on July 13 and see if any new information can be gathered.
Family members are searching vacant buildings and outbuildings in the area where Cook was last seen. They ask that anyone who may have seen her, call 911 immediately or call Benton County authorities at (660) 438-9555. As a reminder, Cook was last seen in Warsaw on Missouri Route 7 wearing jean shorts and a light-colored shirt.
Cook stands 4'10", weighs 100 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes. More information is available at www.facebook.com/FindHellenCook.
