Around 4pm yesterday Missouri State Highway Patrol along with Nevada Police Department and Nevada Fire Department responded to a 1 vehicle accident on Ash Street in Nevada. The accident occured when the Southbound 1998 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by Douglas S. Lukenbill 50 of Nevada Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign, returned to the road then ran off the left side of the roadway struck and tree then travelled into a creek bed. Mr. Lukenbill was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
