Harrisonville Bright Futures hosts Back-to-School Fair

Bright Futures Harrisonville hosted the first-ever Back-to-School Fair on Monday, July 29th. Over 150 students and their families participated in the event that included the opportunity to get school supplies, hygiene kits, immunizations, clothing, shoes, and haircuts - everything needed to prepare for the first day of school. Volunteers spent the weeks leading up to the event collecting and organizing donations. Community Bank of Harrisonville hosted its annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive to help collect donations. Church on the Rock made hygiene kits for all the participants with help from Church & Dwight, Dr. Long, Dr. Evans, and Dr. Young. Local hairstylists donated their time for haircuts and Noel's Hairstying donated the space. All-Sport helped with the purchase of shoes made possible through monetary donations of supporters.
