The Butler Junior High girls’ basketball teams have
gotten their season off to a great start. We opened up by soundly
defeating the Nevada Tigers (A team score 39-10; B team score 27-16).
Next we traveled to Sherwood and kept the nets warmed
by winning two more games. (A team score 55-11; B team score 59-6).
This week we began the Hume Tournament. The B team started off its
first game a little sluggish, but then played well and sent the Sheldon
Panthers home with a defeat (B team score 40-10).
Last night the Lady Bears hosted the Drexel Bobcats and won by a score
of 49-15. So far both teams are off to a great 3-0 start to their
season. Tonight we travel back to the Hume Tournament to face the Rich
Hill Tigers.
