The
Henry
County
Sheriff’s
Office
is
proud
to
announce
the
advancement
of
several
employees
to
licensed
police
officers.
These
men
and
women
began
their
journey
in
January,
2013
and
graduated
Wednesday
evening
December
4,
2013.
The
graduation
ceremony
was
held
at
the
Performing
Arts
Center
at
Clinton
High
School
and
was
attended
by
nearly
100
friends
and
family.
Sgt.
Paul
Abbott,
of
the
Clinton
Police
Department
and
Academy
Instructor,
was
the
keynote
speaker
at
the
graduation
ceremony.
The
Missouri
Sheriffs’
Association
Class
#188
was
made
up
of
ten
men
and
women,
not
only
from
Henry
County,
but
also
Bates,
Lafayette
and
Vernon
counties.
The
eleven
month
journey
of
their
training
covered
the
complete
spectrum
of
law
enforcement
activities.
Henry
County
graduates
included
Nikki
Fenner,
class
president,
Cheryl
Brown,
Thomas
Cantrell,
Jason
Larkins
and
Derek
Foreman.
Fenner,
Brown,
Cantrell
and
Larkins
are
all
current
employees
with
the
Henry
County
Sheriff’s
Office
working
within
the
Detention
Center.
Foreman
is
serving
as
a
reserve
deputy
with
Henry
County.
Other
graduates
included
Jalyn
Rosier,
Vernon
County,
Patrick
Yost,
Lafayette
County,
Brian
Bearce,
Brad
Page
and
Jared
Denham
all
from
Bates
County.
This
was the first academy held in Henry County and all of the instructors
are very proud of the dedication and commitment these men and women
showed over the past eleven months to become licensed peace officers
in the State of Missouri”, Sheriff Oberkrom said.
