St. Clair County Sheriff's Office Press Release: Juvenile Assaults Teacher
On Dec. 11 a deputy took a report
concerning an assault on a teacher at Roscoe School. It was reported while addressing
a class on Dec. 5, the teacher was bumped from behind. As the teacher turned
around to see what had happened, a student used either their head or shoulder
to hit the teacher in the back. The juvenile allegedly shouted “I'm a bomb” when
this happened. The teacher fell backwards into a table and chair and then onto
the floor. Medical treatment was sought. It was noted the teacher has a bruised
back, a sprained finger and a torn tendon. A request for prosecution was signed
and the investigation is continuing.
