On 05/03/14 a White Impala was stopped for a speeding
infraction at Orange and Vine streets.
Officers were alerted by dispatch that the tags on that vehicle were
stolen out of Kansas City, MO. Officers
then contacted the driver, 28 year old Jonathan Barber. Officers attempted to take Barber into
custody when Barber fled on foot.
Officers quickly apprehended the suspect after a short foot chase and
transported him to jail. Barber was
charged with receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, speeding, no valid
driver’s license, improper registration, and no seatbelt.
