The Bates County Youth Advocacy Council is in its 9th year of making sure children in our area will all be able to enjoy the Butler Aquatic Center.
Over the past few weeks, donations have been accepted to help provide funds to pay for pool passes for children that otherwise would not be able to enjoy summer swimming.
The Pool Pal Program provides 76 children with season passes. As of May 14th donations of $2300.00 has been sent by individuals and businesses to reach the goal of $6000.00 needed to provide pool passes for children in need. Lynne McLain stated that we are 1/3 of the way there.
Donations in any amount will be appreciated … from $5.00 to sponsoring an entire family. The Pool Pal Program combines donations to insure that many children will benefit.
