4 year old Appleton City Boy Injured In St. Clair County Crash

On 7/1/14 around 10pm The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a 1 vehicle accident 2 miles Southwest of Appleton City on SE County Road 2576. The accident occurred when the 2001 Ford F-150 driven by 31 year old Stephan J. Berger of Kansas City, Missouri was traveling Eastbound on SE County Road 2576 when he lost control and ran off the roadway at a intersection and struck a ditch.

 
A passenger in the vehicle 4 year old Malacha C. Allen of Appleton City, Missouri received serious injuries and was flown to Children's Mercy Hospital In Kansas City, Missouri. The Driver received minor injuries and was taken to Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Don's Tow of Butler, Missouri. Both occupants were wearing seat belts.
