Search Warrant turns up
drugs, one arrest made
The
Vernon County Special Response Team was called out early Monday
morning to serve a search warrant at a residence on the 1400 block of
N Ash Street in Nevada. The warrant was served in a joint effort with
the Nevada Police Department and the Vernon County Sheriff’s
Office. Investigators recovered Methamphetamines, and drug
paraphernalia during the search.
One person was arrested but the name
has not been released pending the completion of the investigation and
formal charges being filed. Vernon County Sheriff Jason Mosher said
the two agencies working together has made a noticeable increase in
the area of drug related arrests as well as crimes of theft and
burglary.
