Here's what were thinking as far as the timing of precipitation goes tonight. Rain and thunderstorms should move into the KC area towards the midnight hour and spread east through the rest of the night. There is potential for localized heavy rainfall in far northwestern Missouri and extreme northeastern Kansas where 1 to 2 inches of rain is possible through sunrise tomorrow. We're not expecting severe thunderstorms tonight.
