Hume News
The community of Hume wishes to
extend their sympathy to the family of Viola Irene Swickhamer. She
taught school years ago in a one room country school in Hume. Our
thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Congratulations to Justin and
Jaleana Wehar on becoming getting married on October 11, 2014 at the
Hume Christian Church. The Wehars are both educators in the Hume
School District.
A big shout out to the Hume
PTO, parents, teachers, students, etc. The school carnival was great
and always a lot of fun. I know it is always a lot of work, but it
is always worth it when we can do something for the kids and give
them wonderful memories of their childhood. This is a wonderful
tradition that our school has continued to keep over the years.
The Hume Fairboard fundraiser
was a lot of fun on Saturday evening. Several enjoyed kids games for
all ages, bingo and Texas Holdem. The fair board appreciates all who
participated. Congratulations to Shane Hovey of Louisburg, KS for
winning the $500.00 gift certificate from 54 Shooter’s Supply.
