Lillian H. Whinnery was born in Foster, Missouri on January 6, 1926 to Floyd S. and Opal (Briscoe) Darr. She attended school at Foster and Rich Hill, graduating in 1944. She worked during WWII at Pratt & Whitney Defense Plant. She was employed at H.D. Lee in Kansas City and Richland for forty years. Lillian married Chester Whinnery in 1956. Her last years were spent living at Heartland of Willow Lane nursing facility.
Her parents and her husband preceded her in death. Two brothers, Doyle and Floyd E., and two sisters, Lois and Lela, also preceded her in death. She is survived by her youngest brother, William Darr and wife Linda, and eight nieces and nephews.
