Around 09:50 a.m. this morning, Officer Brad Wright of the Garden City
Police Department responded to 7 Hwy & Chandler Road in response to a
medical emergency. Officer Wright found a woman who was traveling
through the area with her family having a cardiac emergency with no
pulse or breathing.Officer Wright administered CPR until Garden City EMS arrived a few minutes later. Officer Wright, Garden City Fire-EMS Chief Lopez, Medic Melissa Jones, and Firefighter/Medic Issac Wilson continued CPR reestablishing a heartbeat.
The woman was transported to Cass Regional Medical Center. The Garden City Police Department had completed their annual First Aid / CPR refresher course at the Garden City Fire Department in April.
