A single father has been identified as the victim of a trench collapse in Belton, Mo yesterday. Donald Meyer, 30, of Oak Grove was killed after entering an open trench while digging a sewer connection to a new home.
The recovery effort was somewhat slowed due freezing temperatures and the depth of the trench.
Family members are now focusing on taking care of Meyer's son Ashton, 8.
