Funeral services for Rodger J. Cecil will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor J.R. Beck officiating.

Rodger James Cecil, age 58 of Butler, Missouri died Friday, December 16, 2016 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born October 27, 1958 to William James and Mela Mae Dotson Cecil in Butler, Missouri. 

Rodger is survived by his wife, Brenda Cecil of Butler, Missouri; their dog, Sparky J. Cecil; a half-brother, Ed Ballard and wife C.J. of Amsterdam, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Doug King and wife Meghann of Archie, Missouri and Raymond King and wife Gayle of Roseau, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
