Three vehicle injury accident in Vernon County

On 12/13/16 the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Vernon County along with the Vernon County Sheriffs Office responded to a three vehicle accident on Missouri 54 Highway just West of Missouri 43 Highway around 5 miles West of Nevada.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 1998 Dodge Dakota driven by 16 year old Forrest P. Spencer of Nevada, Missouri was slowing to turn when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2005 GMC Sierra driven by 27 year old Justin A. Senkevech of Deerfield, Missouri. 

After being hit the Dodge was pushed into oncoming traffic and struck by a 1998 Peterbilt 379 tractor trailer driven by 39 year old Brandon M. Leer of Nevada, Missouri.

Forrest P. Spencer sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by air ambulance to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri for treatment.

Two passengers in Mr. Senkevech's vehicle 27 year old Brooke A. Senkevech and 5 year old Adam J. Senkevech both sustained minor injuries in this accident and both were transported by ambulance to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.

All three vehicles were towed from the scene by Garwood's Wrecker Service.
