D8 would put you pretty close to the Butler square in 1969- This courtesy map would help insure you didn't get lost while in the county seat. It came complete with easy to find streets and quick reference regarding how far it was to other places, like Boise or Boston.
An interesting fact: the population in Butler in 1969 is about what it is today....around 4,000.
