Jack grew up in Richards. He attended school in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1980. Jack worked at R & R Building Supply in Ft. Scott, KS for 20 years.
He then worked for Vineyards Farm and Home in Nevada as a manager until he retired. Following his retirement he enjoyed traveling and attending swap meets where he liked to buy, sell, and trade. Jack loved fishing, hunting, cooking, and garden tractor pulling. But he especially loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include one daughter, Casey Fogle (John)and their son Michael, of the home; two adopted sons, Hayden Winter, Nevada, Garrett Winter (Trista), Nevada; four grandchildren; his mother and father, Joe and Shirley Winter, Richards; one brother, Joe Lee Winter, Richards; one sister, Glenda Wolf (Ron), Deerfield, MO; two nieces, Amanda Wolf, Richards, Natalie Kitsmiller (J.T.), Deerfield; a special companion, Flora Spoor, Deerfield; extended family, and special friends. He was preceded by his grandparents, various aunts, and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. Interment will follow in Stevens Cemetery, Moundville. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
