On Jan. 23, a St. Clair County deputy arrested Daniel Wire, 53, Osceola, on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class D felony possession of a controlled substance and class D misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. On Jan. 23, Timothy Kreisler, 48, Lowry City, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with class C felony possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety. The charge stems from a traffic stop conducted by a St. Clair County deputy during the early morning hours the same day on Highway 13 south of Shelby's in Lowry City. During the investigation contact was made with Kreisler, the driver of the vehicle, and a small candy cigarette box was noticed on the driver’s side floor board. Further investigation discovered a small clear plastic bag containing a crystal substance was inside the box. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Kreisler was taken into custody and an arrest warrant was obtained.
