Vernon Charles Dowty, age 77 of Butler, Missouri died Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Medicalodge Nursing Center in Butler. He was born November 15, 1939 to Claud and Jewel Irene Chambers Dowty in Miami, Oklahoma.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Donna Dowty of Butler, Missouri; two sons, Will Dowty and wife Beth of Belton, Missouri and Scott Dowty and wife Julie of Mankato, Minnesota; one daughter, Renae Lizarraga and husband Santiago of Orrville, Ohio; one sister, Alma Ruth Hilburn of El Dorado, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and one grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Virginia Oakley.
