On April 6th a Deputy responded to County Road 11662 in Adrian to take a report of an assault. The victim stated that he was in his living room when Joshua Gillespie (DOB 3/11/1977) entered his residence and began yelling at him regarding a vehicle had had sold to his daughter. Gillespie then struck him with his fist in his left eye. The victim then shoved Gillespie out of his house and told him to get off of his property.
Adrian Police Department arrested Gillespie at Casey’s in Adrian. He was transported to the Bates County Jail and booked in for a City of Butler warrant. The warrant was for failure to appear and the bond was $50.00 cash only.
Additional charges are expected to be filed against Gillespie for the assault.
