Trespassing call leads to arrest in Bates County

Billy Miller
On April 5th a Deputy responded to county road 12004 in reference to trespassing.

The Deputy met with the landowner and another male, Billy Miller (DOB 8/31/1960), who was being accused of trespassing.

The landowner stated that he has had logs and other items stolen from his property in the past so he put up No Trespassing signs. The neighbor saw a pickup on the property and called the landowner. The landowner advised the Deputy he wished to pursue charges for trespassing.
Mr. Miller stated he had been mushroom hunting and he did not have permission to be on the property.

Miller had an active warrant out of Bates County for Failure to Appear with a bond of $2500.00 cash or surety. Miller was taken into custody and was transported to the Bates County Jail.

The trespassing report was sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review.
