The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the Kawasaki 1500 driven by 59 year old Gary A. Hibbs of Clinton, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway, continued sliding on its side before coming to rest in the ditch.
Mr. Hibbs sustained serious injures and he was transported by Life Flight to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
The bike received minor damages and it was towed from the scene by a family friend.
