Have you ever wanted a career where you feel like you're making a difference in your community. The Bates County Sheriffs Office is currently seeking applications for several career positions. 

We are seeking the right applicants who want a career in Law Enforcment not just a job. Law Enforcment is more of a life style rather than a 9 to 5 job.

Patrol Deputy: Must be 21 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a Class B Missouri Post license. Must be able to pass criminal background check, valid drivers license, be of good moral character and be able to pass physical fitness requirements. Salary is 11.23 an hour with an additional $2.71 an hour from the Deputy Sheriffs Supplemental Fund. Must be willing to move to Bates County and work all shifts including holidays and weekends. Take home car provide along with all equipment required. There are two positions available.


Communications Officers. Must live within 30 miles of Bates County, must be able to pass criminal background check, valid drivers license, be of good moral character. Must be willing to work any and all shifts to include holidays and weekends. Must be able to multitask to include talk, type and listen. Starting salary is $10 hr. After 6 month probationary period you will be moved to $11 hr and at your one year anniversary you will move to $12 hr.

Also hiring part time Communications Officers, Corrections Officers and Deputies.
