Burn ban issued in Linn County Kansas

The Linn County Rural Fire District will be in a Burn Ban from 9:00 pm this evening (June 27) through Thursday, June 29th. 

The current forecast is for winds to begin ramping up tonight with sustained winds above 20 MPH and gusts approaching 40 MPH around noon Wednesday and off and on gusts approaching 30 MPH again on Thursday. Outdoor burning will be banned during this time.

The current forecast suggests winds will diminish by Friday into the weekend.
