Detectives Respond to deceased body south of Nevada

Vernon County Sheriff’s Officials confirmed Thursday morning that detectives with the investigations unit responded to the area of BB and Quail road after the dispatch center received a call of an un-responsive person. Investigators said the person was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Edward L Hallam, 36 of Nevada. 

According to the press release, suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located at the scene and have been sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for analyses. Detectives are continuing the investigation but do not suspect any foul play at this time and are awaiting toxicology reports from the Coroner’s Office.
