Breaking News: Garden City Officers Capture Fugitive from Vehicle Theft in Clinton

At about 12:41 today Officers of the Garden City Police Department were alerted by a observant employee of Seven Stop Convenience Store of a man matching the description of a wanted fugitive involved in an assault on an Deputy Sheriff in Greene County and a vehicle theft in Clinton. Arriving officers were able to identify the suspect and attempted to take him into custody. 

The suspect attempted to flee when officers shot out his tires. The fugitive was taken into custody without further incident.

The the vehicle was confirmed as the one stolen from Clinton, Missouri and a records check of the suspect revealed nation wide extradition warrants from multiple jurisdictions. The suspect was transported to the cass county Jail and the vehicle was towed by Johnson's Tow.
