From the desk of Butler Fire Chief Jason Bennett

It's always nice to be able to use your gas or charcoal grill on your porch out of the rain or hot sun. Why bother dragging it away from your house? Normally a grill doesn't get that hot, but extra buildup of grease can ignite an inferno very quickly.

Be safe and keep your grill a good distance away from any structures or flammable items. Never leave a grill or any fire unattended. Stock photo.
