Rich Hill man arrested in Bates County

Timothy Runions 

On July 20th a Sergeant was dispatched to J Highway to check on a person who appeared to be passed out in a vehicle. The Sergeant made contact with Timothy Runions (DOB 8/2/91) who stated that he was having trouble with his vehicle and pulled over to check it out. 

He said he then got back in the vehicle and fell asleep. Runions was asked several times to exit the vehicle by the Sergeant. He eventually complied and the Sergeant patted him down for weapons. 

The Sergeant located a pipe in Runions’ pocket. The pipe had a white crystal residue that was consistent with methamphetamine.

Mr. Runions was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful use of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
