20,000 people still without power KCP&L reports

Storm Update: Crews restored power to over 15,000 customers overnight, with about 20,000 still to restore.

We had a cumulative impact of nearly 140,000 customers without power at the height of the storm. While we expect most outages to be restored today, we will have some customers without power into Tuesday.

We have more than 1,000 people, including tree and line crews, from KCP&Land neighboring utilities, working throughout our area to assist with outage restoration. The majority of the damage remains in Johnson County, KS with midtown Kansas City being our next hardest hit area.
