Butler Fire Department busy this morning

The Butler Fire Department was kept busy this morning due to severe storms in the area. 

At 3:05 a.m. they were dispatched to a commercial fire alarm at 4 West Ohio street (Old Palace Hotel) in Butler which was a false alarm; at 3:49 a.m. to a residential fire alarm west of 3 mile corner which was a false alarm; at 4:40 a.m. for a semi truck in the median just north of Passaic --- no assistance required.

At 6:41 a.m. for a person trapped in their vehicle in floodwater west of Passaic --- subject out of the water upon arrival; and at 6:46 a.m. for a fire alarm at Medicalodge which was also a false alarm. 

During these calls they also assisted in traffic control in the City of Butler for water over the roadways.
